چکیده

Background Spinal anesthesia is a regional anesthesia technique widely employed in clinical practice. The common side effects consist in a reduction of systemic vascular resistances, with systemic hypotension. To prevent this complication, blind administration of fluids is commonly used. This is accomplished on an empirical basis, carrying risk of possible volume overload. Vena cava ultrasound has been shown to be an effective method to assess fluid responsiveness in critical care patients, however this method has never been studied in a non critical population. Aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of vena cava ultrasound guided titrated volume repletion in preventing spinal anesthesia induced hypotension in an elective surgical population.

The Effect of Prophylactic Infusion of Combined Ephedrin and Phenylephrine on Maternal Hemodynamic after Spinal Anesthesia for Cesarean Section: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Several techniques have been proposed to prevent hypotension in obstetric patients. Ephedrine and phenylephrine are individually used to prevent maternal hypotension; however, each has its own drawbacks. Some researchers have reported that the infusion of combined ephedrine and phenylephrine immediately after spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery reduces the incidence of maternal hypotension....

مقایسه‌ی اثرات تجویز کلوئید قبل و بعد ازآنستزی اسپاینال Co-Loading)و (Pre-Loadingدر پیشگیری از هیپوتانسیون مادران دراعمال سزارین

Background and Objective: Hypotension associated with spinal anesthesia for cesarean section is still a clinical problem. The role of crystalloid preloading to prevent hypotension associated with spinal anesthesia in parturients during cesarean section has been challenged. However, studies with crystalloids predict that fluid loading should be more efficacious if administered immediately after ...

Baricity of Bupivacaine on Maternal Hemodynamics after Spinal Anesthesia for Cesarean Section: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Background: After spinal anesthesia, patients undergoing cesarean section are more likely to develop hemodynamic changes. The baricity of local anesthetic has an important role on spinal blockade effects. The aim of this study was to compare the isobar and hyperbaric bupivacaine 0.5% plus fentanyl on maternal hemodynamics after spinal anesthesia for C/S.Methods: In this double-blind study, 84 h...

Comparison of Intravenous bolus Phenylephrine and Ephedrine in the Prevention of Post- spinal Hypotension during Cesarean Section

Abstract Introduction: Spinal anesthesia is a commonly used anesthetic technique for cesarean section. The hypotension is the serious and common complication for it. Prevention of this complication is an important challenge for anesthesiologists. Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the effect of prophylactic bolus injection of Phenylephrine and Ephedrine in the prevention of hypote...

Comparison of Prophylactic Infusion of Phenylephrine with Ephedrine for Prevention of Hypotension in Elective Cesarean Section under Spinal Anesthesi: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Background: Spinal anesthesia is an accepted technique in elective cesarean sections. However, hypotension, resulted from sympathectomy is a common problem, especially in pregnant women. Prevention of this complication by sympathomimetic agents is of potential clinical significance. The aim of this study is to compare the effect of prophylactic infusion of Phenylephrine versus Ephedrine in the ...
